How to Obtain Access for Faculty

To maintain security and confidentiality of student records, access to eLion's Faculty applications is restricted to Penn State instructors. There are several steps that must be completed before an instructor may access the Faculty applications:

  1. An instructor must have a Penn State Access Account (user ID and password).
  2. An instructor must be either listed on the University's employee records database (IBIS) or listed on the University's Central Identification Repository database (CIDR) as a Pending Employee or Independent Contracted Instructor.
  3. An instructor must be listed on the University's student records database (ISIS).
  4. An instructor must have a Second Factor Authentication Token.
Contact the administrative staff in your department or college to verify that step 2 and step 3 have been completed.

After all of the above steps have been completed, you should be able to access Faculty applications by logging in using your Access Account user ID and password.  If you are not able to log in at that point, please contact the AIS Support Center.
